With just four shopping days until christmas (a very scary thought indeed) I thought I would put together a little list of suggestions for the cyclist in your life (or maybe just treat yourself). All these items are on my list to the jolly red man, so feel free to send one or two of these my way, family and friends you can’t say I didn’t give you any ideas :-).
These ideas are in no particular order and you should note that the links I have used might not always be the cheapest so do shop around just in case (though I have tried my darnedest to find the cheapest price).

For those of you who read my review of the Tagnix emergency dog tags here, this will come as no surprise. For those who didn’t read it, firstly shame on you, and secondly let me explain a little. A small husband and wife team offering versatile and funky emergency ID tags for the athlete in your family. The combinations and colours are fantastic as are the options of tags style. As a proud owner of the dogtags already these shoe tags are the next logical step (no pun intended).
2. The Racer: Life on the Road as a Pro Cyclist by David Millar, £13

Now retired this is the second book by the divisive David Millar and is sure to be as interesting as his first offering ‘Racing in the Dark’. This promises to give you a glimpse inside the peloton and an insight in to the toughest sport in the world. I for one cannot wait to get my hands on a copy.
3. Ride like a Belgian unique cycling print, £12 (size A3)

I have always fancied myself as the warrior type (Mrs Rouleur is currently crying with laughter at this statement) so this print seems like a logical fit to me. Celebrating those hard Belgian classic’s riders, these prints are unique, minimalist yet very cool indeed. Check out the Band of Climbers shop here.
4. Triathletes Chocolate Box, £10.80

With my statement of intent to try a Triathlon in 2016 I would be remiss not to include a little nod to this incredibly tough discipline. What better way to reward the triathlete in your family then a different block of chocolate for each of the events they do (Mrs Rouleur was unsurprised to see chocolate somehow make my list). Given my aim of losing weight it might be a good idea if I give these a miss though 🙂
5. Apres Velo Heritage Wool Polo, £29.95

Like all of you, I am proud to be a cyclist but seeing as Lycra shorts are not a good look for a walk around town, how else can we show our true colours. Well the lovely people over at Apres Velo have a wonderful selection of casual tops with a cycling twist; so why not check them out. This is my personal fave.
6. Pegatin Pro bike stickers, £16.99 for 10

The Velominati Rule 57 sets out the rules on stickers, and they are a big no, no on the bike. However it elaborates that decals (lets ignore Pegatins word choice) are not only ‘Permissible’ but ‘Extremely Pro’. So these would surely get a thumbs up from the Velominati and the idea of taking my blogging name and adding it to my bike is pretty cool.
7. Hoy Vulpine Stripe Stock, £11.99

The jury is still out for me on exactly what sock length I prefer, but man do I like the look of these offerings from the Hoy Vulpine brand, and lets face it, if they are good enough for Sir Chris then they are more than OK for me!
And now a few slightly pricey items….
8. Rivelo Pembridge Cycling Jersey, £90**

I discovered this UK based company earlier in the year and have one or two of their products already. This jersey though is perhaps the one that has caught my eye the most (hint, hint Mrs Rouleur), the only problem will be how my post Christmas belly will look in it!
**Just found out this is currently half price at SportPursuit, (you will need to sign up for a free account but seeing as there are bargains galore that will hardly be a hardship!) Even more hints will be dropped to Mrs Rouleur now!!
9. Castelli Gabba2 Convertible Jacket, £135

The Castelli Gabba2 is widely regarded to be one of the best pieces of cycling kit on the market and has been on my wish list pretty much since its arrival. This convertible version’s versatility is a plus point for me when I some how start to overheat like a banged up old Cortina once the temperature hits double digits.
The Dream……
10. Ridley Noah SL, £Sadly too much for me

Why you ask? Well just look at it. Beautiful and one heck of an upgrade on what I have currently!!
Anyway, just a few ideas from me. That just leaves me to say that I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and New Year celebrating with friends and family. Thank you so much for following my blog over the last few months, I spent a lot of time debating whether or not to give this a go and am so glad I did. I have already met and linked up with a lot of fun like minded people. Hopefully I can keep writing posts that you all enjoy in 2016. Ride safe.
